Discover unique things to do, places to eat, and sights to see in the best destinations around the world with Bring Me! I’ve since realized that, when you can, it’s important to carve out space and time for those activities, if for no other reason than that they’ll bring you joy. When you go for trips or sleepovers, you want to protect it from wear and tear when it’s in your bag. Though it might not seem like much, writing just one sentence in my journal each day had a significant impact on me over time: It reawakened my love for writing. The One-Line-a-Day Journal initially caught my eye in January 2017 because I thought writing just one sentence a day would be an easier habit to keep up and a good way to remember things from everyday life that I might otherwise forget. I think this would make a great gift for newly weds to capture a line a day for the first 5 years of marriage.Personalised advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of information under California and other state privacy laws, and you may have a right to opt out. Pre-COVID, I spent a lot of time reveling in “busyness” and using it as a comfortable excuse to put off doing things that were just for fun. For me, this line either sums up what I did that day ("Dinner at Jess and James' place after a day at the museum") or notes how I'm feeling and what I'm thinking about ("Finished reading A Little Life today and just can't get it out of my head — not sure if that's a good or bad thing"). Each page features space to jot down an idea or daily highlight on the same date over five years, allowing journalers to look back on years past as they capture the present.

Add an artful touch to everyday and enjoy space to reflect, appreciate, and find beauty in every single day with this journal. When I first began my journal, each entry started with “Today, I…” The redundant sentence starter soon inspired me to look for more creative ways to begin, which turned me into a more thoughtful observer of my surroundings. Think of something you have achieved, whether it’s a big goal or milestone, getting through your to-do list or cooking a new recipe – or even just getting through the day. Something you’ve learnt
We all learn something every day, whether it’s a new fact, a big life lesson or something about ourselves.

The lessons I'd learn as a result opened my eyes not only to how I can best approach journaling as a regular ritual, but how I can better set goals, reflect, and plan for the future. But when I started to review entries in the following months, I realized that I didn’t even usually remember the “bad days” that had taken up space in my journal.

These days didn’t affect my life in the long run, which was a poignant lesson that, sometimes, a bad day is just an opportunity to remind yourself that certain things are out of your control, and these events don't define you or your life. You can use all sorts of abbreviations for your journal, so it’s both saving space and adds a little bit of privacy! The quality of this diary is outstanding, the gold edging on mine is still intact and whilst the front lettering is a little worn I am not surprised as it has been everywhere with me. Eine klare Besitzempfehlung für alle die keine Romane schreiben, sondern nur das Wichtigste in Kürze notieren wollen. I have also stapled keepsakes and other bits and pieces along the way into the book such as tickets, badges, receipts, photos etc and this has bulked out this tiny diary massively but it’s still going strong nearly 5 years later. Finding these different ways to engage myself in the writing process didn’t just make recording my memories more exciting; it reminded me of the beauty in approaching any day more creatively or with a different outlook.

So after writing an activity (for example, “watched a movie” or “had a conversation with someone”) you can add what you felt about it. Because many of my entries happened during the pandemic lockdown period or the months following (when it was still difficult to go out and live life), I found a common theme upon reflection: I, like so many others, really missed the activities in life that I’d long taken for granted, like going to art exhibits, concerts, and shows; taking trips; and hanging out with friends. Reminiscing together proved an opportunity for laughter and camaraderie, which showed me the connective value in getting nostalgic with loved ones.I was worried about the sticker not coming off properly as reported by another reviewer- but thankfully I didn’t have any problems and the sticker came off easily in one piece.
